Guided Riding - "On Request"
Planning on visiting the Lakes or the Peak District and want to ride the best routes, with no hassle? Using expert local guides, our "On Request" Guided Rides will ensure you get the best out of your day's riding. See below for some suggestions....
Guided rides cost just £130 per day or £80 per half day (for up to 6 people).
Bike hire in extra - allow £18 to £25 per person for a full day.
Rides can be tailored to suit all needs, from gentle family rides suitable for children, to full on days out for experienced riders. Here are some examples.....
- Lake District - Coniston
- Full Day - Easy
- You'll ride into the heart of the Lake District, along ancient quarry tracks and through beautiful woodland. If there's time, we'll explore some old quarry tunnels. But there'lll almost certainly be time visit one of the Lake's finest tea shops on our return leg and some great downhill freeriding to be had.
- Lake District - Ambleside
- Full Day - Medium or Hard.
- A stunning trip with views over Windermere, into the Langdales and ultimately over Grasmere too. Some of the best naturual riding the Lakes has to offer and some fantastic tea shops on route. A day you will not forget in a hurry!
- Lake District - Grizedale
- Full Day or Half Day
- There are a myriad of great trails rising out of the Grizedale Forest Vistor Centre. Our local guide will be albe to pick the best one's for you... A rolling sight seeing tour across the ridge above Coniston, looking out to the sea and over or the Old Man, or a knuckle biting ride down steepy and rocky slabs. The centre has a great tea shop to finish the day off.
- Lake District - Black Coomb Mountain
- Full Day - Hard
- A little ridden gem, hidden in the very south west of the Lakes. Black Coomb is a fantastic ride, though you'll need to be fit! The route to the top will inevitably involve some pushing, but the views across the sea to the Isle of Man (weather permitting!) and the descent are well worth it.
- Peak District - Ladybower
- Full Day or Half Day
- Starting at the Upper Derwent Vistor Centre, there are a multitude of routes to chose from. From gentle ambles around the lake shore to more serious off road adventures. The Ladybower area really does have something for everyone.

- Lake District - Keswick
- Full Day or Half Day
- Always within sight of the mighty Skiddaw and Blencathra, there are a variety of great routes to choice from. From an easy amble, to some serious off road mountain biking. Our classic Skiddaw loop route takes you up into the mountains on some narrow and testing signle tract, before blasting back down into Keswick for a well deserved tea break. Suitable for any level of experience, you just need to be reasonably fit.
